Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the first Oyakhilome's son, being born to Tim Oyakhilome and Chris Oyakhilome on 7 th December 1973. Following his primary and secondary education, he attended Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where the university awarded him a BSc. in Architecture.

While in AAU Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student. He began exploring ministry while still at AAU. At the time, the Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship, which is now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated was known as Youths For Christ (YFC).
YFC was growing, and eventually became the biggest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is home to the headquarters of the church. Believer's LoveWorld is now a global ministry with thousands of members and associates across the globe.
In the context of the 2002 miracles program, BLW became Africa’s most well-known Christian ministry. They stopped airing this programme in May 2004 after the former President of Nigeria- President Olusegun Obasanjo declared that miracles shouldn't be allowed to continue by churches.
